from the American Conservative Union

When you're true to your values, people notice. The American Conservative Union, a nonprofit advocacy group, just granted
Dr. John Bizon the 2017 "Conservative Achievement Award." This puts him in the top tier of conservatives in the Michigan Legislature, based on his voting record.

According to ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp: "It is our hope that these ratings will serve as a guide showing who can be relied on to fight for conservative principles and restore the role of government to what our nation’s founding fathers envisioned." Read more

Michigan House Approves Dr. Bizon's Bill
Offering Fresh Start for MYCA Graduates

The State House unanimously approved a new bill sponsored by Dr. John Bizon that helps troubled youth get a fresh start by completing the Michigan Youth Challenge Academy (MYCA) program. Located at Fort Custer in Battle Creek, MYCA is a 22-week residential program operated by the National Guard that offers youth 16-18 the opportunity to change their lives in a military-style structured and disciplined environment.

“Teens with troubled pasts who complete the rigorous program at the Youth ChalleNGe Academy deserve a chance to clear their records,” Bizon said. “These reformed young people should get an opportunity to lead successful lives without their past mistakes holding them back.” Read more
